#millieturnsone

What a difference a year makes. Hard to believe our baby is one. The first birthday is the most bittersweet of them all. On one hand I'm shouting, "Yay! We made it!" From sleepless nights to first steps there is a lot to learn in that first year- for parent and baby alike. Then there is the other half of me that is saying, "Oh no! she's not a baby anymore, we're entering toddlerhood!" That's tough too. You want them to stay little and sweet forever. But. If they did we'd miss so much. It's fun to watch them grow and experience all of life's firsts. This isn't really a post about that though. This is a post about Amelia's first year and celebration of that.
Here are some photos from her first year. Most of these have previously been on the blog, but I feel a little recap is in order.
7.11.2013 we went from being parents of boys to having a little princess.

For her birthday party, we had an Instagram themed party- "A Year in an Instant"
I had a year's worth of my favorite #ameliagrams (Instagram photos of Amelia) printed by Social Print Studio. I used thirteen of them to make this banner. Each month from birth to 12 months.
I put the rest (one hundred fifty-something) of them out on a table with hashtag confetti.
I found camera's in the scrapbook section of a craft store. Surprisingly harder to find than one would expect. I put them on string so the kids could have their own cameras to wear around their necks.
The party favors also came from Social Print Studio. Little Amelia magnets.
We had fun with the photo booth thanks to LM Photo Props for the Instagram frame.
Smash cake:
She knew what was coming. Swiped a piece of frosting before we even finished the first line of Happy Birthday.
This is her sugar coma face. She didn't nap that day, if you can believe it.
She had a great time celebrating with friends and family. And showing off her almost walking.

This year has been filled with fun and lots of love.

Here's to a lifetime of adventure ahead.

Oh the places you'll go...

The 4th in Pictures

I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July. Here is our holiday in pictures.
