Fall. Fall is fun when there actually is a fall. It has taken me a few years to truly appreciate it but here I am. And I am loving it. Brian, through his work, put on a fall festival.
There was face painting.
And. Sunshine.
And. Of course. A hayrack ride.
We rode out to the field where we got to pick out pumpkins. It reminded my of fall's version of an Easter egg hunt, the way the pumpkins were tucked behind prairie grass or behind the shelter polls.
The boys each got their pumpkin and we rode back.
Finley wasn't quite sure what to do with his.
Once back, the boys painted their pumpkins. It took Kaden's 4 days to dry. Finley was not impressed.
Next. We roasted marshmallows. Mine was perfect. Just saying.
And. Made s'mores. The boys weren't sure what to do with s'mores. They ate the chocolate off and threw the rest away. Whatever. Dudes.
After all that, I figured they needed to run off some of their chocolate. If only I had their energy, I could run off a few things.
And. Finally. Finley.
Finley woke up just in time to try his brothers' suckers. He wanted more.
Tonight over dinner, Kaden and Myles were admiring and discussing their pumpkins. During which time I couldn't help but notice the butt on that thing. It makes me want to paint on a pair of low rise jeans (ok I totally stole that idea) maybe add a lower back tattoo or something. You know. For Halloween.
