Whatever the reason, I woke up feeling particularly motivated this morning. I have no idea where it came from, God knows it wasn't from a good night's sleep, but I got up and told Kaden and Myles, "We're going to do something fun today!" I promised them pumpkins to paint. I said they could each have five small ones to paint their names on. While they ate breakfast I perused Pinterest found all these great ideas, never mind the fact that my artistic ability is a 0 on a scale of 1-10. We loaded up the car and hit Target. It was a disaster. Long story short. They had no pumpkins. They did have lots of other fun and crafty things however. The boys wanted to know, "Can we do craps now?"
So. We got started. On the crafts.
Myles got right to work.
Kaden practiced his letters. Notice the "F"- "That's for Finley." They also made a "W" for Uncle Winston.
Myles helped with this part. And to put it all together:
Ta-da!
Part B of craft day was monster doors. Starting with the most important door.
This project involved scissors, duct tape, toddlers and a baby. Wasn't as fun as it looks. I almost made the monster's bangs extra jagged, but it brought back bad memories of bad hair cuts from my childhood.
All of the doors upstair have monsters. The girl is on the bathroom door. I figured maybe she was just in there fixing up her hair. As a side note, I rarely do things without reason and I may be what you call an over-thinker. But It's all part of my charm.
It was a busy craft-tastic day and I'm still not done. Remember those bats? Well, I've got plans. Big plans. Stay tuned.
Today is my FIL's birthday. Happy Birthday, Grandpa
