This story starts with a little green house that a couple, expecting baby number two, bought 5 years ago.
It was our first house. The home we welcomed 3 babies into. On the street where we met some great neighbors who turned into best friends. We spent many summer nights walking the neighborhood and playing in sprinklers. We shoveled snow, and watched seasons change. All the while we were outgrowing our little house. We went in search of a bigger house to spend the next chapters of our lives in. We found the perfect one. It just needed to be built.
We found our dream lot and started the process. It was very exciting.

But first, it was work. We moved everything out of our current house, got new carpet and new paint, and put our first home up for sale.

We spent an entire week living out of the car. It was the only way to keep littles out of the workers' way. It was fine. Until nap time. We spent lots of time at the gym and library and naps in the car proved to be a challenge.
By the end of the week I had my nappers back in bed. Only to have the house put on the market and to spend the following week living out of the car again. I can't complain (too much) because we sold within a week!
It was time to say goodbye to our green house. Thankfully, we had sunny weather to be able to spend our last afternoon playing outside.
And just like that, we were off to the apartment to wait for our new house. I won't go into details about apartment life; there were six of us sharing two bedrooms and one bathroom, I'll let you fill in the blanks. We did, however, visit our lot to watch the progress often. We even took some really great family photos.

Finally. It was ours.
It's a mess, and we aren't that close to being unpacked, but we're here and couldn't be happier. The whole process was stressful and just plain hard, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love our house and can't wait to see what memories it holds.
Here is the process as seen by my iPhone. Some Most of the photos were taken from the car, so don't get too judgey.
