Our baby birds are starting to look more like birds. They're actually on the verge of being cute. It was Memorial Day and the weather was perfect. And by perfect. I mean. Perfect. I dressed the boys in their red, white and blue gear and we headed out.
I never realized how difficult it is to get a couple of toddlers to take a simple picture. Even Finley had had enough. I am thinking they will be wearing the exact same attire on the 4th of July. Except that Finley will have to borrow Myles's shirt by then.
We spent some time in our driveway before heading to our neighbor Paul's for the real party. Myles was using Will's big boy bike. This is a sweet picture, but what you don't know is that I took it in the middle of the Toddler Bike War. They apparently don't enjoy sharing at this age.
Kaden had his own idea of fun. He rode his bike off the porch. This is not a good sign. I feel like I will be spending a bit of time in the ER with broken bones and such as these three grow up.
The afternoon was pretty typical filled with activities such as:
Cheetos and apple juice
catching frog
chasing after frogs yelling, "ribbit!"
Science experiment of why ice melts. It also doubled as a cool and refreshing snack.
bean bag toss.
Mom sat in the chair soaking in as much sun a possible (people tell me I don't look any more tan than I was before, but I know I do)
Dad's job was to man the meat. He did good.
The rest of the week was pretty chill. (Am I cool enough to use that phrase?)
Finley is becoming more mobile and crawling is just around the corner. Not sure I am ready. He did manage to get himself stuck under the chair the other day. This means baby gates will be making their appearance in our house once again.
Those cute little teeth are turning my sweet boy into a crabby baby. But. They make him cuddly too so I will take it:)
Missin my Arizona sunsets. This will have to do until I make it back out.
Finley is thinking,
"What's wrong with this pitcher?"
This bring us to today.
June 1st.
And we're all wearing hoodies.
What happened to my Memorial Day weather?
